Assuming we're talking about the white TCU box down by the fuel door/rear hatch release lever next to the green fuel pump relay, correct ? If so, the TCU has 11 functions. 1&2: intermittent wiper control 3: washer & wiper combination control 4: light warning chime timer 5: ignition key warning chime timer 6: seat belt warning chime timer 7: Seat belt warning lamp timer 8: Rear defogger timer 9:Interior lamp timer 10: Door key hole illumination 11: Illumination control (dash light dimmer) Note: clock & mirrors are not on TCU circuit . Since you mentioned intermittent wiper issue. First check the wiper amplifier, (Gray I think ? box) in front of clutch master cylinder attached to inner fender. wiring goes up along firewall to wiper motor. Wipers have a 20 amp fuse in the engine bay relay box or lower left panel inside. Also down by inside fuse panel and close to TCU there should be a pair of black ground wires attached to the chassis below carpet edge.
